was probably the best part of the trip. We camped by a lake and a river, went trekking in the mountains, visited hot springs and even got to see old temples, all within an hour’s drive from the actual road we were on. We had an amazing time and I am really glad we went. Lijiang is a bit touristy (lots of people from China) and there are more interesting places in China and elsewhere, but Lijiang is peaceful and relaxing, and the Bai people are very friendly.
The food in Chengdu is something not to be missed. The local food is very good. The people here love spicy food, which is a part of Sichuan cuisine. The people living here are very friendly. The road from Yunnan into Sichuan is one of the most beautiful roads in China. It goes over the Longmen pass, which in itself is a great experience. This pass is the highest point in the route and the scenery is breath-taking.
Experience in Shaanxi was also great. We saw some of the most beautiful scenery in China. Xi’an is an ancient city with a very interesting history. It was once the capital of the Chinese Empire and the home of the Terracotta Warriors.
We’ll stop at Pingyao to see the famous City Wall and to have lunch. The walled city of Pingyao is known for its well-preserved city layout.
There are too many things to do in Beijing that you can really spend a long time here. Make sure you check out the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, and the Forbidden City. If you are not into history, the Tiananmen Squareand, the Summer Palace are also incredible.
Self-drive tour is a great way to travel and see the places instead of roaming by vehicles or fly. Along the journey, not only top-noted scenic spots and historical sites, but also experience abundant local people, their living circumstances, and the natural scenery of the Chinese landscape. Much of the scenery, the local characteristics of the local culture are very unique.
